Flashback Friday!

Happy Flashback Friday! Today I made a c*u*t*e baby card using an old Stampin'Up! set way back from 1996. That is 17 years I have held on to this stamp set!!! Don't know the name of the set because back then I threw away the little strip you adhered to the plastic box it came it. What can I say - I didn't know!

Anybody still have this set? Anybody remember the name?  Oh well, I wanted to make the card look kind of like a cute little quilt. Well I cut my squares wrong so I went a different way and this is what I came up with.

Soft and sweet, just perfect for that new little girl. Notice I even stitched around the crumb cake cardstock.

Look at those stamped feet!  So precious in the Melon Mambo.  A simple sentiment and a few rhinestones.

A few flowers using the simple floral fusion sizzlet and my card was done. If you want to see more Flashback Friday inspiration - head over to Nicole Tugrul's BLOG HERE and see what she has posted for today!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend! I am going to get my fall decorations up and decorate out by the road. My house sits a ways off the road so I like to "spruce" up out by the road also with scarecrows, pumpkins, hay bales etc. Do you have plans this weekend?

Hello Friends!

Hello Friends!  I had a wonderful weekend visiting with my little Granddaughter. She is changing so fast and sooooo busy. I went to a garage sale Saturday and all I bought was "goodies" for her. It was fun!

I am prepping for a Prayer Journal Class that I am having this coming Monday. Lots of research and cutting. It will be a great time. I will post pictures of class next week.

I do have some cards to share with you and will get them posted maybe this evening.

I'm So Grateful

I made a couple of special cards last week for some special people in my life. I used the stamp set Chalk Talk from SU! and some retired paper.

I cased this card from Monica Gale with some changes. I love the look of this card and I love the sentiment.

This weekend I am so excited because my Granddaughter is coming to the farm!!!  I can't wait!!  We have been doing a lot of skyping lately and she is starting to say words: Mama, Dada, Hi, Bye, Shoes (yes shoes!) It has been over a month since I have gotten to squeeze that little girl and I can't wait to get my hands on her.

Thanks for stopping by!

A New Week.

One of the hardest things for me to do is to come up with a "catchy" title for posts. Today I am just not thinking so I figure it is a new week so might as well use it.

I sent this card to a couple that are celebrating a 50 year wedding anniversary.

Do you notice the envelope that matches the card? I used the NEW envelope punch board to create and envelope for the card. It was soooo easy (and fun!) On the front, I added a white, adhesive label for me to write the address and sent it off!

Here is just a close up of the hearts on the card.

I had a nice, quiet weekend. I had to work on Saturday and then came home and cleaned house. My college son came home and I made the best chocolate chip cookies for him to take back with him. They are yummy!

My Niece's Birthday

Happy Birthday, Brandi!  My niece's birthday is today and I made her this card using some retired SU! papers and a stamp I purchased awhile back from a friend who sells Close To My Heart products.

I love this Everyday Elegance DSP paper and try to use it for special cards. I also love this stamp set because you can really personalize the card by highlighting a certain day of the month.

I did use the new Strawberry Slush ink and it goes perfect with this paper.  The inside is pretty simple.

Until next time - enjoy!

Good Monday to You All!

Good Monday Morning!  I hope everyone had a good weekend and now we are back to another busy week.

I did get to craft awhile and made some pretty birthday cards. Trying to use up some old retired paper I have (and I have LOTS.

Such an easy card with great results. I love that I can come up with some cute cards quickly and use up some goodies so I can get some more "new" things!! I dressed up the inside with the little end of the ribbon that I snipped off when I shaped the bow. A great tip to use instead of throwing it away.

Colors?

Hello!
Ever make a card and you just don't know if it looks right? Well, while playing in my craftroom this past weekend, I made this card and I just don't know if I like the color combo....

What do you think??? It is using the new slate gray cardstock and some old Bashful Blue and Poppy Parade cardstock that I had on hand. Don't really know if I will be using the color combo again. I do like the layout of the card though!
