Trick Or Treat!!

Happy Halloween Everyone!!!

Thanks for stopping by today! I got home last night from work and decided that I needed to whip up some treats for my niece's and little nephew and my co-workers as well as some local friends. On such a short notice, I went to my fellow bloggers and got some ideas. The first group of treats I got from THIS post.

I made these for my co-workers/friends. Aren't the little pumpkins cute??? They are so easy to make with an SU! oval punch.

The next "bunch" of treats, I got the idea from THIS post. Being a hobby demonstrator, I don't buy all of the latest holiday stamps so I used a retired stamp set that I have had (and used!!) for years.

I also used some retired Halloween DSP paper. Hey, it works!! That is what is so great with stamping, they last for years and can be used over and over again. I ended up making 23 bags of treats to hand out while watching some Halloween programs on TV.

Have a wonderful Halloween the rest of the week. I will be back next week with more to share.

Wish Big Birthday

I am still trying to get rid of some of my old paper and made a birthday card to have on hand.

I really like the layout of this card and know I will use it again. I used two different embossing folders on this.

As well as a fancy SU! build a brad. I finished the inside simple.

I hope you have a wonderful Halloween tomorrow. We live in the country and don't get many trick-or-treaters maybe a few neighbor kids on their way into town.

So Sorry...Sympathy Cards

I was all out of Sympathy cards and needed some more to send and have on hand so yesterday I just took the time to get some made.  I used some retired paper (still have lots of it) and decided to make this set of cards in a tri fold.

This is real simple yet it is so pretty.

You cut your cardstock at 4 1/4" X 11" and you score the long portion at 5 1/2" and again at 2 3/4". I cut the inside white cardstock at 4 1/2" X 3 1/2" and the portion on the front (largest portion) is 3 1/2" X 3 1/2".  I also used an old retires SU! set for the rose in the background (Fifth Avenue Floral) and used a new, available stamp set for the sentiment (So Sorry). While making one of the cards, I smudged something on the inside of the card.

I tried using an artists eraser to get rid of it and it didn't do a thing so I came up with this:

I just fussy cut a portion of the DSP that had a cute flower and glued it over the smudge.

I hope I don't have to use all of these cards for quite some time.

We are almost done with harvest and the forecast doesn't sound the best so I am happy about that. Have a great week and stop by again!

It's a Boy!

Poke holes in the scalloped edge

My daughter has a good friend that she went to High School with and has continued to be great friends. She recently had a baby boy and I wanted to send her a congratulations card. Of course, I went to my Pinterest boards and found this card by the great Chat!

I CASED this card almost exactly like the original because when you see a good thing, why change it, right?? It is just too cute as it is!

This is my version....not a whole lot of change.

I used different DSP paper and different EF and ribbon but pretty much everything else is the same.

Isn't that little sleeper just the cutest? Love it!

I stamped it on some DSP paper, cut it out and adhered it with some dimensionals.

More Thank You Cards

This is the second set of Thank You cards that I made to send to people that helped me out with contributions towards my walk with Alzheimer's goal.

I found this layout on Pinterest and used some retired DSP paper. Love it! Julie Marshall of Stamping Impressions was the person I followed to make this card. She got her idea from Julie Davidson. Thanks to both Julie(s)!  Here is the stack of Thank You cards that I will be sending out this week.

I am so grateful for the support and overwhelmed that everyone who helped me reach my goal and even more!

We are harvesting here in Nebraska so my Husband and son have been very busy out in the fields and late evenings. Everything is going good and hope to be done soon.

Strength & Hope - Flashback Friday

My daughter's best friend has a sister that is fighting breast cancer. She is only in her 30's and has two young children.

She recently underwent a double mastectomy and I wanted to send her a special card to let her know that others are thinking and praying for her healing and recovery.

Again, I got this layout on Pinterest. I tried to go to the blog and there was an error so I cannot give credit to the original maker. I used the retired SU! set Strength & Hope from  A beautiful set.

I added some glitter spritz to the butterfly and some pretty pearls.

The inside I made very simple and I will add my own words that I am praying that she has a quick recovery. She has quite a journey ahead but a lot of support.

We are starting to have cooler days and evenings here in Nebraska. Fall is beautiful here this time of year.
