Flashback Friday Blog Hop

Hello Friends!

I am excited to share in my first blog hop! If you are "hopping" then you just came from Andrea's blog Stampinlab.

I belong to a Stampin' Up! group called "Luv 2 Stamp". Nicole Tugrul is also a member of the group and started a Flashback Friday blog post on her blog. She has now started a blog hop featuring retired SU! stamps. So dust off those old stamp sets and start using them again!

Today I am using the retired stamp set called Simply Said. This set was released in 2006.

I actually purchased this set at a garage sale and never used it. Do you ever do that?? This was the perfect opportunity to grab this set and use it!

I decided for this project to use the new DSP paper from SU! called Gingham Garden. It is such a pretty pack and beautiful color combinations. I chose a layout to use this stamp set and actually ended up making two cards with two different colors featured: Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight.

On the first card, I added the tiny SU! pearls as accents in the center of the flowers and the butterfly's.

I still have some Melon Mambo scallop dot ribbon so I used some of it on this card.

The next card I double stamped some of the larger flowers and cut them out with my SU! snips. I adhered them on the circle with black brads. I used the seam binding ribbon in Daffodil Delight to tie a pretty bow.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope you come back again! The next stop on the hop is Vinnie  click HERE!!!

***Please leave a comment if you would love to see the Flashback Friday Blog Hop continue once a month. I have LOTS of retired Stampin Up! stamp sets that I would love to share card ideas with you!***
