So Sorry...And I get to go see Macy!!

One of the newer SU! stamp sets is called So Sorry. It is just a sentiment set but it is perfect for so many occasions when you just need to tell someone you are sorry for messing up, for their loss, for the loss of their pet etc... This is my take of using the set So Sorry for the first time.

Today I am heading to Colorado to babysit my little Macy for a few days. School is beginning for my daughter and she needs to report to teacher work days before the day care opens up for the year. Excited to see my baby girl but not the flight out there! I am taking a small plane from North Platte to Denver. I will be 1 hour and 12 minutes in the air and it takes 1 1/2 hours to get to North Platte so I will be out in Denver before my husband even gets back to our house. He will come out and get me in a few days so he can see our daughter and family.

Take care and enjoy the ones you love!

For the Bride & Groom

Happy Monday all!

Oh well, back to work but what a beautiful weekend!  Saturday it got in the 70's and Sunday only in the 60's!  About 30 degrees cooler that normal this time of the year in Nebraska.

Saturday in the evening my Husband and I headed to the town of Burwell where we enjoyed Nebraska's Big Burwell Rodeo!  What a beautiful night for a rodeo and it was so much fun.

Everyone else must have thought what a great night for a rodeo because the place was PACKED!!

Today's card was made for a couple that recently got married out of state and just had a reception in town.  It was a remake of another similar card that I made some time back.

Thanks for stopping by and hope your week is a good one.

Little Macy Turned ONE!!!

Hello Blog world!!  While I was away we celebrated my Granddaughter Macyn's 1st Birthday!! Boy, that year FLEW by. I cannot believe that she is one already. She is tiny for her age...two little bottom teeth and 17 pounds. She still can't fit into 12 month clothes - they are too big!
Her Mommy and I worked all week long on prepping for the big celebration and below is a few things what we came up with.  Mommy decided that Macy's first birthday would have a Bumble Bee theme.

This is a sweet picture of the birthday girl when she was just 6 months old.

We decorated a sweet table full of delicious goodies for all to enjoy.

Springtime Oreos - perfect bee colors!

Yummy cupcakes with bright yellow frosting.

Abbey and I added some extra touches to the tables:

All of the yummy food was set up buffet style.

The birthday girl had to have her own cake - a Bee Hive!!

Here she is with her first birthday crown.

And a picture with her big sister (the pet boxer) Paxton.

Happy First Birthday, Miss Macyn!!  Grammy loves you lots!

My Oldest got Married!

Another event that happened this summer was my oldest son got married.  The night before, there was a horrible storm in the town that they got married. Trees were over the roads, electricity was down, buildings were damaged etc. but the next day the wedding went on without any problems. I don't have the photographers pictures back yet but I have a few snapshots that I took of the special occasion.

It was a beautiful wedding and a wonderful day. Lots to celebrate and so happy to have another in our family.

Masculine Birthday Card for Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!

Hello Everyone!  Yay!!!  I got to craft today! I follow on Facebook the "Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge" and I vowed today I was going to get into the craft room and I was going to participate!  This weeks sketch challenge:

I have a hard time with masculine cards and it always seems when I need one, I never have any on hand. I really like the stamp set SU! Horse Frontier and really wanted to use it along with some more of my old, retired DSP paper stash. This is what I came up with.

I used the retired DSP Greenhouse Gala along with cardstock crushed curry and old olive. I stamped the horse image in soft suede and added a silver brad and a scrap of blue from my scraps for the small banner in the top corner. I finished the inside very simple.

It really felt good to get back in the craft room. I need to do this more often, it is such a stress reliever!

Thank you for stopping by!

Red Sky In The Morning..

There is a saying that I have heard somewhere, "Red in the morning, sailor take warning. Red at night, sailor's delight" Anyone else heard this? Well we woke up today to this in the west.

The sky was as red as could be and the rainbow beaming down.  We got a much needed 1.50 inches of rain last night and a small shower after I took this photo.  We will see what tonight brings.

Where Oh Where is Summer Going???

First of all, I apologise for ignoring this blog for sooooo long!!  I cannot believe that it has been since APRIL that I have written or made anything and posted it. I have made cards and some items, I have taken photos of them, I just have not had the time to get on the computer and post them.

Since April, my oldest son got MARRIED!!!  Yay! So, so happy for them both. My daughter moved from one house to another still in Aurora, CO and we went out there and helped with the move. My only granddaughter turned ONE!!  Cannot believe that she is one already (big smile). I spent a week visiting with the family during that time.

I am also trying to take better care of myself. I have really let myself go (weight wise) and I need to get back on board and get some weight off so I am focusing more on better eating habits, exercising more and drinking lots of water.  Anyone have some great tips out there?

Any way, sorry you haven't heard from me - I am still out here and I will try to get back in the craft room again hopefully soon!

Til then -
